Evert-Jan is an experienced test manager with over 25 years of expertise in the field. Throughout his professional career, he has held various roles, including test manager, and has been responsible for leading a test department. Evert-Jan has managed complex international, multi-site test projects and is adept at communicating effectively across all levels of an organization. Test manager on a User Acceptance Test (UAT) test in the Assets Management area. Focus of this short assignment was to drive the test execution phase towards go-live date. Tasks included helping the test team maintain focus on the quality and deadline, structuring the test organisation and -setup, managing external supplier and other stakeholders, defect management, and performing daily test management activities. The test was completed on time, successfully meeting the go-live deadline.

Test Manager leading End-to-End testing for a complex payment processing project.
The project aims to build a new payment processing platform to modernize and replace the legacy payment systems with a future-proofed solution based on cloud Microservice architecture using Java and state-of- the-art database and integration tools. The platform encompasses Clearing & Settlement as well as real- time payment authorizations. The project adheres to SAFe & Agile principles.
As a test manager, I was responsible for End-to-End testing in multiple areas. In my role as an E2E test manager, my responsibility was to test the deliveries from 5-10 development teams in a comprehensive End-to-End test.
My major responsibilities included:
– Developing and executing test strategies and test plans.
– Managing the test team, with testers physically located across 5 countries.
– Implementing test automation.
– Playing a key role in integration and delivering an integrated solution to the market.
– Collaborating with both the IT and business sides.

As test manager I had responsibility for two main areas:
· Issuing & Acquiring Clearing & Settlement to phase out a legacy platform. Despite introducing an entirely new platform with numerous new technologies, only minor incidents occurred, without impacting the customers.
· Acquiring Authorisation, a “near real time” payment processing platform.
My major responsibilities included:
· Developing and executing test strategies and test plans.

QA Lead for a new developed online payment platform. The platform was developed by several Agile development teams across the globe (teams in 8 different countries). The platform consisted of 10+ different systems that needed to be integrated. The platform has gone live successfully.

Test manager for a User Acceptance Test (UAT) regarding new functionality on Calypso, which is a standard capital market platform to control among others market risks.
The consultant was responsible for coordination of the UAT test which was executed by one of BEC’s customers.
Further, the consultant was responsible for Defect management and Release management support.

Jun 2014 – Jun 2015 – Defect- and Incident management
Defect and Incident manager on Windows 7 upgrade project at Region Hovedstaden (Region H). The Windows 7 project is a cooperation between Microsoft and region H, in which 40.000+ pc’s are upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7.
The consultant was responsible for defect management on the development project in which 1000+ applications were enabled for an upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7. The consultant defined, implemented and optimised the defect process for the Windows 7 project at Region H, which involved many parties across Region H.
During the pc upgrade the consultant became the SPOC person towards the Service desk department. The Service desk is the interface to the users and is the receiver of all incidents, which are Windows 7 related.
A part of these incidents must be solved by the Windows 7 project. The rest of the incidents are handled by Operations. In this role the consultant where responsible for the decision of who should correct which incidents. Furthermore, the consultant handled the prioritization of the task of the “ambulancetjeneste” which had to solve the most important incidents.
The consultant was responsible for defect and incident reporting to the management and the steering committee. Besides, the consultant had a role in the delivery of the applications from the project to operation, which had to ensure, that the applications were delivered as soon as possible to limit the project scope.
SKAT
Mar 2013 – Apr 2014 – Test-, defect- and release management
Test, Defect and Release management in a complex project with more (internal and external) suppliers, including integration of as well new as existing IT systems based on a SOA architecture.
The consultant runs a defect management team consisting of 3 persons, who are dedicated to run all defects / change requests for a solution via more external suppliers and SKAT’s internal development department. The task includes the responsibility to define and optimise the defect process; bring together the relevant (external) parts in order to agree upon defects; ensure to place the defect at the right part and make sure that defects will be prioritised with the aim to reflect the need of the project and the business.
Further, the consultant is responsible for definition and support of “Change Advisory Board” (CAB). CAB is responsible for prioritization of fault handling/change requests and determination of releases for test and production. CAB controls what the different suppliers must focus on and must ensure the right priorities with management, business and test. The CAB manager is a business expert and the consultant are to define, support and optimise the process regarding CAB as well as lead the meetings with the suppliers.
Besides, the role of the consultant is to be responsible for test and handle releases to production.
